What It Takes to Blog Again

Wooh! 6 months in a row! I thought I could never ever blog again <insert tears> T_T.
I was not being lazy <or am i?>, its just that I have to fix my life first before I could consider myself a blogger again. I really thought that 6 months was super long, I bet it was, but I have to say, with those months I get to prove to myself that I can do great things, things that I could never imagine that I am capable of doing, and things that made me happier, wiser and smarter.

There will just come a point in your life when you get to question yourself: Do I really have a reason for my existence? or Am I really of significance in this world? Well the answer is a big YES! God plans things for us, and not just things but great things. He knows what's best for us and gives the things that we've asked for at the right time and during moments where He thinks we're ready. We all receive favors from God. And with those 6 months, I received a very huge favor from God.

I finally finished College! "Bachelor of Science in Nursing". And I have to say, Nursing is really very hard, its not all about giving medicines and/or reading and memorizing medications and disease conditions, it's also about thinking outside the box as to how you can comfort and care for the patients and how to therapeutically use yourself to aid your patients toward health. <lengthy explanation indeed> ;)

I was extremely happy during this time for I made my family, most especially my mom, very happy.

And according to them: "when it rains, it pours." So as with my blessings, within months, I could then officially call myself a REGISTERED NURSE for after taking the Nursing Licensure Examination last June 2 and 3, I was happily informed by the people I love that I successfully passed the board exam, and that's all because of Him. <3

There is really indeed a perfect time for everything. I will happily and proudly close this chapter of my life and humbly open a new one. I guess its time to face the REAL WORLD! :)

Laid Back with a Swag

What will go wrong with mixing black, gold and white?
Nothing right?
It always spells elegance.
So here's a quick post for you guys :)

Since swag is the understatement of the year,
I decided to add that little spice to my simple outfit by adding a cap and kicking some ass while wearing it. Swag is not about what you wear, it's about the attitude and aura that you are carrying.

So always remember, Keep Calm and Be a Swagger ;)

The Return of the Comeback

It has been 2 months since the last time I blogged, I know that I deserve to give you a very long explanation as to where I have been all my life (?) :), but I just have to say that the thing that hinders me from blogging is SCHOOL. Don't take that in a negative note, its just that this past few months I learned how to triage things, and it does not mean that blogging is at the bottom part of my priorities, its just that I want to be done with school so that I could have my entire life reserved for blogging. hahahaha, did that explanation even work? okay I should just shut up now cause I am talking nonsense again.

okay so as a comeback post, since we all are in the mood for Christmas, I would just like to share to you my outfit for our last Christmas party.

Tried my luck on wearing a mullet dress.
And since this mullet is dramatically sheer, I opted to wear a black undergarment to add sophistication and allow the blue dress to be seen, to shine and plainly caught attentions ;)
And I paired it with a black ankle-length boots, animal printed clutch and tribal necklace to add a little edginess and rocker chic feel during that night.
Don't forget to show some love and happiness this Christmas Season :)
Happy Holidays. ;)

Vintage Illusion

Ever since I was  oriented to the word FASHION,
I always place the theme vintage somewhere special in my heart.
There's just something about it that draws me closer to the past,
and it always make me feel that I was somewhat like time-travelling.

Anyways, have you ever tried defying the usual?
Well I recently did, we were asked to wear corporate attire for our professional adjustment.
And I was too lazy to wear blazers, and since I was really in the mood on wearing something "old-looking",
I opted to wear this:

And when I say vintage I mean "laces, browns, high-waists and the likes".

I opted to use three colors to keep things at an appropriate pace, since the rule in wearing corporate attires is never use too many colors and never use intimidating, eye-catching and bright colors. So I used three basic earth colors that goes well with each other: white, brown and grey.

I just felt like I was someone from the past that was teleported to the present time. hahaha

How about you? what's your own interpretation of corporate looks?

Cream Overload

Waaah! Hello Blogsphere!
Absenteeism has really no excuse.
Pardon me for that, hahaha

As much as I want to be very, very active in the blogging world, TIME has never been on my favor. So every minute second I have to blog I would definitely do it because it's what I love and what I enjoy the most.

Monochromatic much? Hell yeah! I have been seeing colors everywhere, from color blocking, to neon and striking colors, to soft and pastel colors. I have adored each and one of it, but people tend to forget how beautiful monochromatic outfits are. So as a means of reminding people that there are still someone who adores not only bold and fearless colors but simple monochromic outfits  as well, I wore my pleated palazzo pants and lacey top ensemble on our school.

The colors may appear boring at first but with the 2 elements that I used: lace and pleats, boringness had never been an issue during that day (or am I just assuming)

As what my friend would usually say "life is short to wear boring clothes". So be bold, be tough and experiment :)

another thing guys, I would just like to share to you my motto in life, "no matter what life throws at you, never forget to smile". Enjoy!

Must-Tardy

I know there's really no excuse for not updating my blog for a very long time. I have really been overwhelmed with school and Silliman University's Founder's Week. Fun and stress are the worst tandem ever.

Enough with the excuses :) Off to my outfit post >"<

We were asked by a friend to be on our own interpretation of what professional-look is for a photoshoot, and here it is :) blazer on :)

And once you remove the blazer:

Spell S-E-X-Y

Pairing my mustard dress with a silver pumps to match my already dress-attached silver necklace and black with gold details bag for some contrast :)

Just a quick outfit post, and don't ever wonder if I will once again be missing in action. Take care :)

ACIDic

Sorry for really being busy this past few days, blame Midterm examinations please.
But please lets forget about exam and go on to the thing I really like the most, and that is dressing up. But this time I chose to play it simple.

Denims or acid wash clothes would never fail you. It would never make you feel and look boring because there is just something mysterious in it.

And being a nursing student of a Christian University, I always want to be prim and proper during classes, wholesome image lang ang bet. I could always have the freedom to pair this top with a short, but I chose a black leggings to really emphasize that the top is acid washed.

And I chose to pair it with a dark brown shoes and bag to really achieve my simple and wholesome yet dressy casual look.

And since I never fail to have an awkward looking pose every photoshoot, I would like to share this post's most ill at ease pose. :)

And yes, I will never forget to mention that the acid was top was once again thrifted (winks inserted)

So how are you, and your midterms? :)
